Sambalpur: New Year Darshan Timings of Maa Samaleswari Set for Devotees; Darshan Begins at 6 AM, ‘Special Darshan’ Available for Donations

Sambalpur: On the occasion of English New Year, the temple management of Maa Samaleswari, the presiding deity of Sambalpur, has announced the darshan schedule to accommodate the expected large gathering of devotees.

Morning Darshan Timings

Devotees can visit the temple starting at 6:00 AM. However, darshan will be temporarily paused from 11:45 AM to 12:30 PM for the offering of Annaprasad (sacred food).

Afternoon to Evening Darshan

Darshan will resume at 12:30 PM and continue until 7:45 PM.

Break for Maha Aarti

Darshan will be paused again from 7:45 PM to 8:30 PM for the Maha Aarti.

Night Darshan Timings

After the Maha Aarti, darshan will restart at 8:30 PM and continue until 10:30 PM. After this, the temple will close for the day, and Maa Samaleswari’s daily resting ritual (Pahada) will take place.

Special Darshan for Devotees

The temple offers a “Special Darshan” facility for devotees who wish to pay a donation. This arrangement ensures a smoother darshan experience for those opting for it.

Bhog Distribution

On New Year’s Day, devotees are not allowed to bring their own offerings of bhog. Instead, the temple trust board will provide bhog to everyone.

Trust Board’s Assurance

Sanjay Babu, the Chairman of the Temple Trust Board, stated that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure a seamless darshan experience for devotees. The management has taken special care to maintain order and facilitate the sacred rituals throughout the day.

Devotees are encouraged to follow the schedule and cooperate with the temple authorities to make their visit peaceful and spiritually fulfilling.
