Sambalpur: The Sambalpur-Puri Intercity Railway will be start again after a long time. It has been announced that it will be operational again in the first week of April. This was reported by the East Coast Railway. The Sambalpur-Puri Intercity railway service, which started in 2002, has been closed for two years which showed dissatisfaction among the people of Sambalpur. So the locals have been demanding for its resumption. Even after the Covid situation has returned to normal, why it was shut down, controversy erupted over this.

The Sambalpur-Puri Intercity Railway was the gateway to communication between western and coastal Odisha.
