Sambalpur: Over 100 Advanced CCTV Cameras to Be Installed in Sambalpur Before Hanuman Jayanti; 24 Hours Work in Progress

CCTV Cameras to Be Installed Across Sensitive Areas

Sambalpur: Authorities in Sambalpur are taking significant security measures ahead of Hanuman Jayanti by installing CCTV cameras in sensitive locations. Work has already begun at key intersections in the city. A professional team is working around the clock to complete the installation as quickly as possible.

24 Hours Work Underway for Rapid Completion

A dedicated team is working 24 hours to ensure that the project is completed on time. Along with camera installation, a control room is being set up at the SP’s office to monitor activities in real time. In the first phase, around 100 CCTV cameras will be installed. Following this, traffic signaling systems will also be upgraded. Officials have set a deadline to complete this project before Hanuman Jayanti.

Advanced CCTV Technology for Enhanced Surveillance

To ensure maximum security, authorities are installing high-resolution cameras in every key area. These cameras will help monitor criminal activities such as theft, illegal activities, and reckless driving. With this advanced system in place, it will become almost impossible for criminals to escape detection.

Intensive Surveillance at Key Intersections

Highly advanced CCTV cameras are being installed at major intersections to deter criminal activities. The police department and municipal corporation are working closely to ensure that the system becomes fully operational before the festival.

Locations Identified for CCTV Installation

Previously, CCTV and traffic control systems were planned for Ainthapali, Tali Chowk, Bareipali, Remed, Laxmi Talkies, and Mudipada. These locations will soon have high-resolution cameras, which will help identify rule violators and miscreants.

Additionally, other key locations like Danipali, Gopalmal, Panchgochhia, Bhutapada, Jail Chowk, Dhanupali, Dhankauda, Samaleswari Temple Chowk, Mandalia College Chowk, Nelson Mandela Chowk, Bhalupali, City Station, Gunderpur, Durgapali, Sindurpank, Maneswar, Church Chowk, and Hanuman Temple Chowk have been chosen for CCTV installation.

High-Tech Equipment to Strengthen Security

Authorities plan to install 80 high-power CCTV cameras, 10 facial recognition cameras, 30x zoom cameras, and 10 cameras capable of monitoring up to 200 meters. Additionally, 12 high-resolution cameras will be deployed specifically for traffic management.

Previous CCTV Installations and Maintenance Issues

Since the establishment of the Sambalpur Municipal Corporation in 2018, CCTV surveillance has been a priority. Initially, 63 cameras were installed across the city. However, many of them have stopped functioning over time. Recently, some cameras have been repaired, but authorities are now focusing on installing new, high-resolution cameras to enhance surveillance efficiency.

By implementing these security measures, authorities aim to maintain law and order during Hanuman Jayanti and beyond.
