Sunday – Thieves attempted to rob a liquor store and on Monday night, a hotel in front of the town’s police station . According to reports, the thieves broke into the hotel and search cash . But the shopkeeper escapes as he didn’t kept the money.
In another case, a bar attached to the police station wall slammed the door of the shop after failing to break the iron lock. But even there, the thieves did not find anything to steal. The owners of the shop went to the police station on Monday morning to report the incident, but no action was taken. Police, on the other hand, appear to have advised the shop owner to install CCTV to prevent theft. In less than three days, millions of rupees worth of goods, including Rs 30,000 in cash, were stolen from a hardware store adjacent to Thana, sparking widespread outrage.
