Sambalpur: In Sambalpur, bikes emitting deafening noises and speeding through the city have become a nuisance, disturbing the peace and robbing residents of sleep. The sounds are so piercing that they could potentially harm the ears.

To address this issue, the police have launched a special drive to curb these noisy bikes. They announced their intention to remove the modified silencers that create such extreme noise. On the first day of the drive, silencers from multiple bikes were seized.

Silencers Seized in Large Numbers
Within just two days, the police have removed silencers from 18 bikes. The operation covered key areas like Ainthapali, Budharaja, and Laxmi Talkies.

According to SDPO Tofan Bag, the police will continue this crackdown across all police station jurisdictions in the city. The operation aims to restore calm and ensure compliance with noise regulations, he said during a press briefing.
