President Draupadi Murmu visited Paradip to grace the Boita Bandana Ceremony
Bhubaneswar: President Draupadi Murmu arrived in Bhubaneswar about 15 minutes before the scheduled time (6 pm). The President was welcomed at the airport by Governor Raghubar Das, Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik, Union Minister Bisheswar Tudu, Mayor Sulochana Das, Chief Secretary PK Jena, DG Police Sunil Bansal. After that, the President was escorted to the Raj Bhawan under tight security, where hundreds of tribal women and men welcomed her with traditional tribal dances and songs.
The President will spend the night at the Raj Bhavan and today (the 27th) morning, she is scheduled to attend the Boita Bandana ceremony at Paradip Port. At 8:30 in the morning, Smt. Murmu will leave the Raj Bhavan and go to Paradip in a special helicopter from the airport. After the program, she will return to Bhubaneshwar in the afternoon and she is scheduled to return to Delhi tomorrow evening.
President will grace the Boita Bandana ceremony organized by the Paradip Port Authority at Paradip and virtually inaugurate a Multi-Model Logistic Park as well as lay the foundation stones for a new reservoir and water treatment plant for Port Township and next-gen vessel traffic management and information system. The President will also interact with the members of the fishing community.
