Sambalpur: Question Papers Go Viral on YouTube Before the Test; Alleged Collusion Between Corrupt Teachers and YouTubers, Raises Concerns Over Education System

Leak Raises Concerns About Student’s Future
Sambalpur: As the annual exams for students from Class 1 to Class 8 are ongoing, question papers have been leaked on YouTube before the tests. This has raised serious concerns about the future of students and the credibility of the examination system.
YouTube Channels Uploading Question Papers
The annual exams for primary and upper primary school students started on the 17th and will end on the 21st. However, a few specific YouTube channels have been uploading the question papers a day before the exams. For example, the Class 8 Science exam was scheduled for today, the 19th. Shockingly, the question paper that appeared on YouTube matched exactly with the one used in the examination.
Not only Class 8 but also exam papers for all classes from Class 1 to Class 8 were uploaded on YouTube along with their solutions.

Exam Papers Leaked Before Reaching Students
This year, the Odisha Primary Education Programme Authority (OPEPA) prepared the question papers for exams across the state. The process for distributing these question papers follows a strict system. First, the question papers reach the District Education Office (DEO). From there, they are sent to the Block Education Office (BEO), and then they are distributed to different clusters. According to the rules, teachers are supposed to open the question paper packets only inside the exam hall. Students are expected to write their answers directly on the question paper, and they are not allowed to take it home.
However, despite these security measures, reports suggest that some question paper packets were opened beforehand. Some dishonest teachers may be involved in leaking the papers to YouTubers. These YouTubers, in turn, upload the papers to gain more views and popularity.
Concerns Over Education Standards
As the leaks continue, many intellectuals and education experts have expressed their deep concerns about the declining standards of education. If such incidents keep happening, the value of exams and fair evaluation will be lost, affecting the future of students. Authorities must take strict action to prevent further leaks and protect the integrity of the examination system.
