UP State Buses To Play Ram Bhajans Till January 22
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh conducted a review meeting with officials concerning the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya. During the meeting, he instructed the planning of events like bhajans, the recitation of the Ramayana and Ramcharitmanas, and Sundarkand in the Ayodhya temples starting January 14. The Uttar Pradesh Transport Department has instructed that Ram Bhajans be played on the public address systems in Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) buses until January 22 as part of the ongoing preparations for the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
In line with the Transport Department’s action plan for January 22, every passenger vehicle and bus stop will be kept clean, and popular Ram bhajans will be broadcast on the buses’ public address systems to motivate commuters with stories of Lord Shri Ram’s life. The broadcasting will include various artists’ renditions of popular devotional songs related to Lord Ram, in addition to bhajans and hymns that are popular among people today as well as devotional songs sung by local singers.
According to the action plan, bus drivers will undergo training that will guarantee their adherence to traffic laws and safe driving practices, as well as proper behavior toward tourists, uniform wear requirements, refraining from alcohol consumption and tobacco chewing, maintaining clean vehicles, and never charging more than the stated fare. In addition, interceptor vehicles will be deployed on all routes within a 200-kilometer radius of Ayodhya to assist tourists, and transport teams will be vigilant about issues related to road safety such as overloading, drunken driving, wrong-side driving, overcharging, adherence to the dress code for drivers, and implementing other safety measures as needed. Additionally, to assist tourists traveling between Sultanpur and Ayodhya, Gorakhpur and Ayodhya, and Lucknow and Ayodhya, the Transport Department will set up help desks at all toll plazas.
Gujarat tattooist offers free “Shri Ram” tattoos, aims to tattoo 1,000 devotees by Ram temple consecration
Jay Soni, a tattoo artist in Gujarat’s Navsari City is offering free tattoos of the name “Shri Ram” to devotees. Having already tattooed 200 individuals, he aims to reach 1,000 by the Ayodhya. Soni, reflecting on his motivation, said, “Since I am a tattoo artist, I decided to offer a free tattoo of Lord Ram’s name to devotees as my small contribution to the occasion.”
