Ratna Bhandar to Open on July 14th: Justice Biswanath Rath Leads Committee Decision

Committee Meeting Update

Today, the committee held its second meeting. Following the meeting, Justice Rath stated that he would submit a proposal to the government to open the Ratna Bhandar on the 14th. It is hoped that the government will grant permission to open on that date. The Ratna Bhandar will open once the government grants permission.

Duplicate Key Verification

Following the first committee meeting two days ago, Justice Rath informed the media that the duplicate key to the Bhandar was safely stored in the treasury. Today, on the 9th, the temple’s Chief Administrator will host the key presentation ceremony. Following the ceremony, the decision on opening the Ratna Bhandar will be made.

Devotees’ Access and Security Arrangements

When the Ratna Bhandar is opened, devotees will be able to have darshan from a secure distance. To ensure the security of the Ratna Bhandar’s treasures, specific locations within the temple complex have been marked according to schedule. Temporary storage arrangements have been made in case the duplicate key stored in the treasury is not discovered due to old locks or other circumstances. In this scenario, the lock will be broken.

Process and Final Approval

All of these procedures will be carried out correctly, and a presentation will be made to the government. Following that, the Ratna Bhandar key will be revealed on the 14th. Previously, the temple’s Chief Administrator presented the key.

Final Decision and Government’s Role

Regarding the opening of the Ratna Bhandar, Committee Member Rajeev Sahu stated that efforts will be made to open it on the 14th, as per the decision made today. The state government will make the final decision on this matter. Efforts will be made to quickly finalize the decision to open the Ratna Bhandar.
