Sambalpur: Road to Siddheshwarberna Shishumandir full of potholes; Lives of Thousands of Students at Risk, Immediate Repairs Demanded

Sambalpur: Siddheswarberna Shishumandir, located in front of Gangadhar Meher University in Sambalpur, is one of the city’s oldest educational institutions. Every day, more than 1,000 students travel to the school for their classes.

Main Roads in Terrible Condition

However, the condition of the roads connecting to the school is extremely poor. Firstly, the road from Church Chowk to the school is filled with potholes and uneven surfaces. Secondly, the road under the flyover in front of the university is in a completely damaged state. Even the flyover itself has broken patches at several points.

Students at Risk

Due to these bad roads, young children often face accidents while commuting. They trip, fall, and get injured on their way to school.

Citizen Demands Action

Senior citizen Ishwar Prasad Nanda has urged the Sambalpur Municipal Corporation and the District Collector to take immediate action. He strongly demanded that these roads be either repaired or rebuilt urgently on a war footing to ensure the safety of the children.
