Sambalpur: The Crime Branch team in Burla Vimsar is investigating the shooting incident of Health Minister Shri Naba kishore Das

The crime branch team has recorded the statement of Jeevan Naik, who was injured in the Brajrajnagar Gandhi Street firing incident and is being treated in Vimsar. He has been interrogated for a long time. Along with confiscation of the clothes he was wearing on the day of the incident, the team also took his medical report. Jeevan is an eyewitness to this phenomenon. Jeevan’s story is very important as the crime branch is going to present him in the court as a key witness.

On Friday afternoon, a five-member crime branch team comprising DSP Anadi Sethi, DSP Basudev Swami along with three other officers reached Vimsar. The team went to Vimsar’s ENT department and met Jeevan who was admitted there. He asked in detail about how and what is happened at the scene that day and also recorded 161 statements of life. Later, they confiscated the clothes he was wearing on the day of the incident.

A party supporter Jeevan Naik was grazed in the back of the neck by a bullet while Health Minister Naba Das was shot dead at Brajrajnagar Gandhi Street in Jharsuguda district last Sunday. Jeevan was first shifted to Vimsar after primary treatment at Jharsuguda District Government Hospital. Assistant Professor Sujata Panda, doctors and PG students of the Department of Surgery conducted the examination in the operating room for 3 hours on Monday in the presence of Head of Department Sauvangini Acharya. It was clear that there was no part of the bullet in the neck.
