Sambalpur: 11 deer horns were seized from the city bus
Sambalpur: Deer horns were being transported in the city bus. After receiving information from reliable sources on Tuesday morning Various vehicles were inspected by Thelkoloi police patrol team. The police team investigated the City bus (OD 15B 1932) near Thelkoloi intersection. During the investigation, 11 deer horns were found in polythene bags of one people.
Police arrested Vikash Jamudolia, 35, of Kanika village in Sundergarh Hemgiri police station after seizing 11 horns. During interrogation, he said he brought the horns from his father-in-law Lala Bishra’s house in Putiapali village, Dhama police station. To take action under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, Police have handed over the accused and seized horns to the wildlife DFO.
