Sambalpur 23rd Book Fair to be held from 11th to 20th at the Ainthapali Ph.D Ground

Sambalpur: All preparations have been made for the 23rd Sambalpur Book Fair to be held from 11th to 20th at the Ph.D Ground, Ainthapali. On behalf of the administration, District Magistrate Ajambar Mohanty and SETU President Minketan Pathi gave information in this regard in a press conference on Thursday and said that the Sambalpur Book Fair was closed for the last two years due to Covid. This time again it will be organized on a grand scale, this time 140 stalls have been set up for the fair. Out of them, 95 stalls have been taken by 37 publishing houses and book sellers. Similarly, 3 firms have 6 stalls for stationery and 18 other firms have 21 stalls. Apart from food and other stalls, Gita Press, Friends Publication, Vidyapuri, Grantha Mandir, Odisha Textbook Bureau, A.K Mishra Agency, National Book Trust, Oxford Press, major publications have booked stalls. This year, for the first time, the entry fee has been waived off.
The main forum of the book fair are named after the social worker Bhagat Prasad Nanda and Professor Durga Prasad Naik respectively. Seminars will be organized every evening from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm. Honorable SETU Honors Educator Balkrishna Kar Memorial Honors and Doctor Diptibala Pattnaik Memorial Honors will be awarded to volunteer organization “Sambal” for this year. Also Rangabati Team will be felicitated in this book fair informed in the press conference.
