Sambalpur: 3 golds in a row for Rekha, bronze for Budhua in 2nd National Veteran Games and Sports Championship 2022 held at Nashik

Sambalpur: Rekha Dey and Budhua Munda from Sambalpur represented Odisha in the 2nd National Veteran Games and Sports Championship 2022 held at Nashik, Maharashtra. Rekha won 3 gold medals in 100m race, long jump and triple jump in women’s category above 45 years. Similarly, Budhua won the bronze medal in the 800m race after participating in the 30-year-old men’s category. After returning to Sambalpur, international master athlete Sundarmani Barik felicitated them. 2000 male and female athletes from 20 states participated in the competition held from 25th to 27th Nov.
