Sambalpur: 3 miscreants beat the Constable during the Governor’s visit, Police arrested 3 people
Burla: Constable Vigneshwar Jena of Ainthapali police station was assigned duty in Burla for the governor’s visit to Sambalpur. He was doing traffic control work near the main dam. In the evening, 3 miscreants were roaming around the road and harassing people. They also abused Vigneshwar as he forbade them. For protesting, three thugs attacked him and beat him. The miscreants robbed him of a mobile phone, 300 rupees, an Aadhaar card, and a police ID card. The police patrolling team rescued him and admitted him to Burla Hospital. After treatment, he lodged a written complaint at Burla police station on Monday night. The police registered a case and started investigating the incident. Police have arrested 3 accused in this case on Tuesday. The arrested accused are Meru Jena (48), Subas Muduli (43), and Deepak Das (926) of Gobindpur under Khurda Begunia police station. The police seized the loot items from them.
