Sambalpur: 5T Introduces Laxmi Bus Link to IIM Sambalpur and NIT Rourkela
Sambalpur: 5T has initiated a Laxmi (LAccMI- Location Accessible Multi-modal Initiative) bus service connecting the IIM Sambalpur to NIT Rourkela, starting from Friday with the support of the State Government. The Volvo Laxmi Bus aims to establish a connection between IIM, NIT, and Jharsuguda Airport.
Two buses are now running on this route, beginning their journey from IIM Sambalpur to NIT Rourkela at 9 am. The route covers various important locations, including Sambalpur University, Burla bus stand, Vimsar, Vissut, Sambalpur, Bhushan Gate, Jharsuguda, Jharsuguda Airport, Sundergarh, Rajgangpur, Kansbahal, Vedvas, Panpos, and Rourkela bus stand, Sector-2 bus stand, ultimately reaching NIT Rourkela at 1:20 PM.
The bus ticket from IIM Sambalpur to Jharsuguda Airport is Rs. 164, with departure at 1:45 PM and arrival at 6:00 PM. Similarly, the bus ticket between NIT Rourkela and Jharsuguda Airport is Rs. 260. The bus inauguration ceremony was attended by District Council President Kumudini Naik, Sambalpur IIM Director Prof. Mahadeb Jaiswal, Sadar Upazillapal Pushpanjali Panda, and Sambalpur RTO Ramdas Tudu, who also flagged off the bus.
