Sambalpur: 5T Secretary reviewed the work of Samlei Scheme project, ordered to complete it on time
Sambalpur: 5T Secretary VK Pandian visited the Samleswari temple on Sunday and directed to complete the construction of the much awaited ‘Samalei Project’ within the stipulated time frame.
Secretary Shri Pandian spoke to the devotees gathered in the temple premises this morning with the darshan of Maa Samleswari. He then toured the entire project area. The Samlei Project is being developed in an area of about 30 acres. About 25 acres of land has already been acquired for the project. During the project visit, Secretary Mr. Pandian advised the departmental officials to speed up the process of acquisition of the remaining 5 acres of land. Along with this, He visited the area under construction for development of heritage pond area, line management system, clock room and other infrastructure. Visited the under-construction heritage corridor and asked for emphasis on local heritage. Visiting the riverfront project, Mr. Pandian finalized the design for an iconic foot over bridge and directed the acceleration of riverfront pillar infrastructure work. During this visit, the Principal Secretary of the Department of Public Works Bir Bikram yadav, District Magistrate Ananya Das, Samleswari Temple Trust Board President Sanjay Babu along with the officials of OBCC construction company were present.
On this occasion, Shri Babu, President of the Samleswari Temple Trust Board, said that 40-45 percent of the Samlei project has been completed. However, the entire working year will be completed by the month of December this year. In this regard, Mr. Babu, who instructed the 5T Secretary department officers, said.
