Sambalpur: In view of the tourist season, Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik Inaugurated the Hirakud Eco Retreat through virtual. It will run till January 30. This eco-retreat offers comfortable hotel accommodations, and delicious food and drinks menu from breakfast to dinner. Tourists can enjoy water sports, adventure games, boat trips in the diamond lake along with dancers, and various cultural programs and have a unique experience in the lap of nature.
Arrangements have been made to take the tourists from Hirakud Eco Retreat to Samaleswari Temple, Hirakud Dam, Ghanteswari Temple, and Debrigarh Sanctuary. This year Eco Retreat will have 25 luxury cottages and star hotel facilities for the tourists.
In the Chief Minister’s virtual inauguration program at the Hirakud eco-retreat site, Rengali MLA Nauri Naik, Redhakhol MLA Rohit Parjari, Kuchinda MLA Kishore Naik, District Council President Kumudini Naik, Northern Revenue Commissioner Dr. Suresh Chandra Dalei, District Magistrate Ananya Das, SP Mukesh Kumar Bhamoo, Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation Commissioner Ved Bhushan, Tourism Department OSD Hemant Pradhan, and District level officials were present.
For a one-day stay in this cottage from Monday to Friday, 8 thousand rupees, and for Saturday and Sunday, the cost of a one-day stay is 9 thousand rupees. It is Rs 10,000 for the special day from 23rd December to 3rd January.
