Sambalpur: 7-Year-Old Girl Kidnapped and Brutally Raped During Wedding Ceremony in Sambalpur
Sambalpur: A family from Sundergarh district traveled to Sambalpur’s Bamra area to attend a wedding. Their 7-year-old daughter went missing Saturday night while attending the wedding. After a frantic search, the family found the small girl in a bad state. They were horrified when they found out she had been raped. The little girl was promptly taken to a hospital in Burla, where she is now in critical condition. Her health is really complicated.
According to sources, family members traveled from Sundergarh to the village of Dumka in the Mahulpali police station area to attend the wedding reception. A 22-year-old man named Anil Samad from Dumka village danced with the 7-year-old girl. Later, he saw her alone and took her to a nearby forest, where he raped her. Following the horrible incident, Anil left the unconscious girl there, believing she had died. Later, the family found the little girl and took her to Kuchinda Hospital first. Because of her critical condition, she was sent to Burla Vimsar Hospital.
The child is now under the special care of a gynecologist and obstetrician and is on oxygen support. Senior police officials, including an Additional SP and the Burla SDPO, visited the hospital to check on the minor’s health. Meanwhile, Mahulpali police launched an investigation in Dumka village and arrested Anil in connection with the case.
