Sambalpur: 9 and a half lakhs was recovered from junior engineer
Sambalpur: As one incident after another happens from the Jujumura block area of Sambalpur district, the government officials have made a concerted effort to avoid action. Today, it is found that 9.5 lakh rupees have been collected from junior engineer Takal Dharua. VDO Saroj Kumar Vishwal, after he came to know about the corruption, ordered the engineer to deposit the money immediately and today, he informed that 9.5 lakh rupees have been recovered from the in-charge engineer. At the same time, he has cleared his involvement in this corruption.
On the other hand, in the area of Jujumura block where money has been deposited, there have been allegations of corruption of 10 lakh rupees for the construction of village roads of Kayakud Panchayat, including village road concreting, 3 lakh rupees in construction of chamunda swamp, 10 lakh rupees in construction of Budiyakota church, etc.
On the other hand, after the Congress, the BJP has also complained to the District Collector today. There is a rule that the bill should be paid only after VDO seeing the construction work. So, VDO tries to escape by recovered money from the engineer to clear the guilt from his head. There have been allegations that a faction of the ruling party is making a concerted effort to protect Mr. Vishwal. A leader is the mastermind behind all these corruptions. Therefore, mainly in the last one year there has been widespread corruption in Jujumura Block area. Therefore, a representative team led by senior BJP leader Gobind Agarwal met the District Collector and submitted a demand letter to conduct an independent investigation.
