Sambalpur: A gang of female robbers are at the station, more than 30 people were detained by RPF and Dhanupali Police
Sambalpur: Gangs of female robbers broke out in Sambalpur railway stations. Not only 4 – 5, but more than 50 women in the one-woman gang. Preparation is done to rob people. Even on Wednesday, this women’s gang was ready to rob people at Sambalpur City Station. They also looted. However, while robbing the purse, the woman victim screamed. Later, while the women of the gang were leaving in an auto, they were followed by the victim and her family members. A commotion broke out after they were caught near the sakhipara. There was a crowd of people behind. After receiving the information, the Dhunupali police came to witness and took the women of the gang to the police station. On the other hand, some of the women were fled away. Sambalpur RPF also chased and arrested some women after shouting at the station. While Sambalpur RPF has arrested around 20 women, loot money has also been seized from them.
How did they robbed?
The women of this gang mainly robbed passengers as they got off the train. First, the women of the gang used to target and surround people. The women of the gang behind were taking advantage of the crowd and looting money, jewellery etc. from bags and purses. On Wednesday, a female passenger was surrounded by the women of the gang. At this time, the women gang deliberately hit the passenger’s son and quarreled about why we were being harassed. Meanwhile, a woman of the gang stole a purse from the bag of a female passenger. The female passenger screamed and shout after seeing this. The women of the gang were escaping from the crowd in an auto. They were caught by the family of the female passenger near sakhipara. The women gang members are from Maharashtra. Passengers have raised questions as to why they are not monitored at stations when it is their daily routine to rob people.
