Sambalpur: A pregnant woman died due to negligence of a doctor @ SBP DHH

The mother died two days after giving birth to a baby boy. Her husband alleges that his wife died because of the doctor’s negligence. Balabhadra Bisar, 27, a resident of Thelkopada, was married in 2014 to Dileshwari of Thelkopada. On the 5th of Jan, he took his wife and admitted her to the maternity ward of the SBP DHH. A baby boy was born to his wife after surgery that day. Dileshwari was in good health till 8 am on the 6th of Jan. At 11 a.m Dileshwari suffers excruciating pain in her abdomen. Her stomach swelled, her husband said. His genitals were also bleeding profusely.

Despite repeated calling to the nurses, no one came. After a 4/5 call, the nurse came in and gave the injection in the hand, reducing the pain slightly. But an hour later, his condition worsened. He again called the doctor and three doctors came, advised to bring an expensive injection. But after bringing the injection, doctors advised him to take his wife to burla hospital. The doctor called an ambulance and sent her to Burla. But as soon as she arrived burla, Dileshwari died.

Balbhadra blamed his wife’s death due to the doctor’s negligence and surgery. Her body was cremated at Rajghat today after autopsy
