Sambalpur: A record of highest salary recruitment Rs. 65 lakh package to IIM Sambalpur students
Burla: Students of IIM Sambalpur have yet again reached a new height in terms of placements and salaries. Like last 7 years, this time IIM-SBP students got 100% placement. But in the post-Corona scenario, their salaries have increased significantly. This year, a student named Avni Malhotra has been hired by Microsoft in India with a maximum annual package of Rs 64.61 lakhs. While she is employed in the domestic sector, another student in the foreign sector named Ramya R is employed in the Tolaram Group of Nigeria with the second highest annual package of 64.15 lakhs.

Director Professor Mahadev Prasad Jaiswal held a press conference on Tuesday regarding the recruitment of students of the 2021-23 batch of IIM-SBP. He said that all 167 students who will pass MBA in 2023 have been employed in various national and international companies. Among these 167 people, there are 87 male students and 80 female students. Prof. Jaiswal said that the percentage of students this time was higher (48%) compared to the previous batches while the recruitment was also encouraging.
In this academic year, more than 130 domestic and foreign companies like Microsoft, Tolaram, Adani, Vedanta, Micron, Aditya Birla, Jindal Group, Amul, GMR Group, Amazon, Mercedes Benz, Tata Power etc. have recruited talent from IIM Sambalbar campus. The number of companies has increased by 56% compared to other academic years. In the last academic year, the average salary of students was 13.26 lakhs per annum, while this year it has increased by 26% and reached 16.64 lakhs. Last year, the highest salary increased by 147 percent from Rs.26.19 lakh to Rs.64.61 lakh. Students have performed better than students in this batch. Their average annual salary is Rs.18.25 lakhs.

Apart from this, this time students with no experience have also been hired in good places. In the coming days, we are planning to exchange students by signing MoUs with international universities, so that a student can get two degrees at the same time, said Prof. Jaiswal said.
