Sambalpur: Abducted from Ainthapali, rescued from Hirakud, Rob the old man by mixing drugs to biscuits
Sambalpur: A retired teacher came from Boudh to his relative’s house in Sambalpur. He went out to the Ainthapali street for some work. Some miscreants drugged him with biscuits and kidnapped him and robbed his gold chain, mobile and money on the way. After that, he brought to the hirakud from Ainthapali and threw it in Pinda, a temple in larpanka. The next day, after receiving information from the local people, the police rescued him and handed him over to his family. But due to the border dispute, the police did not file a case in this regard till today. Finally, this evening, the matter has been filed after the discussion between both the police.
According to information, the retired teacher of Boudh also works as a wedding fixer. However, last month he came to Sambalpur with this job. He lived in Hargauri Bihar under Ainthapali police station at his brother-in-law’s house. At around 11 o’clock in the day, when he was standing in the street of Ainthapali, 2 people came to him on a bike. They even friended with the old man. After becoming friends, they fed the old man some biscuits. But after eating the biscuit, he went into a state of unconsciousness. After that, he could not find out anything else. The local people saw him lying in a suspicious condition in the temple Pinda in Larpanka and informed the police. The police came and rescued him and after questioning, her brother-in-law’s house address was found. As he did not return home by the evening, her brother-in-law had already reported missing at Ainthapali police station. On the other hand, after reaching home, the old man went to find that the 35 gram gold chain around his neck, mobile phone had disappeared. Fearing that the person who friended him by giving him biscuits had drugged him and then robbed him, he lodged a complaint at Ainthapali police station. But since he was rescued from Larpanka, it was thought that the case would be settled there, and the police sent him back saying that the old man was rescued from Hirakud.
On the other hand, the police had asked him to go from one police station to another police station for weeks. Since the place of abduction and the place of rescue are different, the police have turned him around. Finally, the old man filed a complaint at the Hirakud police station today and requested the police to help him. After that, the Hirakud police started preparations to file a case. But the fact that the government and the police were reluctant to prosecute such a sensitive incident has raised questions about the effectiveness of the police.
