Sambalpur: Accident in Lakshmi Dungri, lost the life of a Tata Power officer
Sambalpur: National Highway No. 53 has become narrow at Laxmi Dungri due to the closure of one side due to landslides. As a result, traffic problems are created and accidents are happening regularly. Punyashlok Swain (29), a young officer of TPWODL (Tata Power), who was in charge of electricity distribution in West Odisha, died in a road accident last night. Punyashlok’s home was in Cuttack CDA area where his father, Narendra, was working at Berhampur MKCG Medical College and Hospital. He was the only son of his parents.
Punyashlok came to Sambalpur yesterday on some work as an editor in the corporate communication department at Burla TPWODL headquarters. happened an accident at Laxmi Dungri while returning from Sambalpur to Burla on a bike at night. He was lying on the road in critical condition when big injured on his right leg. His bike was slightly damaged in the accident. Meanwhile, some sympathizers passing by the road rescued him in an unexplained condition and called an ambulance to take him to Burla Hospital and informed the local Khetrajpur police station. After getting to know his identity, company officials reached Burla Hospital, after talking to the family members, Cuttack was taken to a hospital. But, on the road, he died. His body was handed over to his family members after post-mortem at Redhakhol hospital. He was a very humble and gentle person. A dedicated officer, his demise has cast a pall of mourning in the TPWODL staff quarters.
