Sambalpur: Accident when returning from Maa Samaleswari’s Darshan, Tractor hits auto; One dead, 4 injured
Sambalpur: A family left their home on Monday morning for the darshan of Maa Samaleswari. After seeing Maa, they also had a feast. The accident happened just 1 km before while returning home after the party. The auto they were traveling in was hit by a tractor-trailer. One person died in the accident and 3 people including 2 children were injured. The deceased was identified as Jujumura Block Kukudapali Panchayat Kusanpuri Village Kailash Jagdala (45).
According to the information, the family left for Sambalpur on Tuesday morning to have a darshan of Samaleswari. After the mother’s darshan, they had a party while returning home on Tuesday evening around 6:30 pm near Giripali, a tractor (15R 5453) coming from the front hit the auto they were traveling in. With the help of local people, all the injured were rescued and taken to Sambalpur District General Hospital (DHH) by ambulance. Doctors declared Kailas dead at DHH. Kailas was sitting next to the auto driver. Kailas’ sister-in-law Kishori Jagdala, two children Omprakash Jagdala and Sanchita Jagdala, and the auto driver are injured and undergoing treatment at DHH. The body of Kailas has been kept in the DHH mortuary after the police registered a case and started the investigation of the incident.
