Sambalpur Adhisthatri Devi Maa Samaleswari’s (ମା ସମଲେଶ୍ୱରୀ) Third form as “Maa Chandraghanta”

Goddess Chandraghanta is the third form of Durga and represents peace,tranquility and prosperity in life .

The term Chandraghanta is derived from two words , Chandra (moon) and Ghanta (Bell). She adorns her forehead with a half-moon which looks like a bell.

This is a terrible aspect of Goddess Shakti and is roaring in anger.This form of Durga is Completely different from earlier forms and shows when provoked she can be the terrible or malevolent.
