Sambalpur: After rains, 5 dengue patients have been identified in Sambalpur

Sambalpur: After rains in Sambalpur district, dengue patients have started to be diagnosed. So far 5 dengue patients have been identified in Sambalpur. Among them there are 3 women, one baby girl, and one man. 2 of them are being treated at Burla Vimsar while one has been admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital. 2 others are at home. They have been advised by the health department to stay in quarantine and use mosquito nets.

All the dengue patients are from the Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation (SMC) area. About 15 days ago, 2 dengue patients were detected. They are said to be recovering now. The concerned patients have contracted dengue here after returning from Bhubaneswar. However, those who have been identified have not traveled anywhere recently. From tomorrow, samples will be collected from the areas where dengue patients have been detected. However, the health department has advised the residents of the city to use mosquito nets as a precaution.
