Sambalpur: Again Brown Sugar has been seized from Sambalpur city
Sambalpur: Again the white poison was seized. This time too, brown sugar was seized from the Sunapali area of the Dhanupali police station. On September 12, the Sambalpur district excise department raided the Genguntipali area of Sunapali and seized 14 grams of white poison, and arrested a woman. On Tuesday, the Sambalpur district excise department raided the Sunapali area and seized 15 grams of white poison. Mohammad Mustafa (29) of Sunapali, who deals in white poison, was arrested and taken to court on Tuesday. The estimated value of seized brown sugar will be 1 lakh 50 thousand rupees, said the excise department.
Earlier, Sambalpur’s excise department conducted raids in the Sunapali area and arrested a person with 17 grams of brown sugar and 26 capsules of nitrazepam pills. On Monday, the Sambalpur district excise department raided and seized 14 grams of white poison in the Genguntipali area of Sunapali. Baduran B’ (58) of Sunapali, a woman dealing in white poison, has been arrested by the excise department.
From the month of June, white poison was seized from the Sunapali area of the Dhanupali police station and the accused is under arrest. As of now, 7 people from the Sunapali area have been caught by the District Excise Department on the charges of dealing white poison. But even then the business of white poison does not stop. On the one hand, the police have achieved great success by seizing a large amount of cough syrup and arresting 32 traders at once, but now some criminals are still involved in the white drug trade.
Sunapali is the Hub of White Poison
In June, the excise department seized brown sugar from the Sunapali area. In June, July, and August, the department seized brown sugar once and in September, it seized brown sugar three times. While Sunapali has become the hub of brown sugar, one person is arrested and another is taking advantage of this business. It remains to be seen when the police will crack down on drug traders in brown sugar.
