Sambalpur: Ainthapali Flyover Project Raises Doubts as Contract Given at 38% Lower Cost
Sambalpur: Sambalpur: Questions have been raised about the completion of the Ainthapali flyover and other projects conducted by the National Highway Division of the Department of Road Transport and Highways in Sambalpur. The Central and State Road Transport Departments issued a tender for this project a few days ago. The agency granted the tender for the project at a 38% cheaper cost than the tender. This project’s tender included 11 national-level agencies. However, the company ASC InfraTech has become eligible because of its 38% cheaper bid. However, due to the existing circumstances, it is impossible to labor at such a low cost.
The same company has also taken on the construction of National Highway 55, Sambalpur-Anugul road for a low bid. However, it could not be completed within 9 years. Thousands of crores have been spent on it in recent years, with the money going to waste. It is impossible to work at a lower rate than the current market rate. Engineers from the National Highway Division said it is impossible to continue the job. If the toll agency is to be effective, the job must be of low quality. Working in rural and urban locations is more difficult and expensive than anticipated, and it is difficult to find people and other resources.
