Sambalpur: A woman from Putibandha area of Dhanupali police station has died in a suspicious manner. The deceased was identified as Seema Naik, 24, Sonpur Dunguripali police station was married to Yuvraj Beria of Putibandha less than 50 days. The in-laws said she had committed suicide. On the other hand, Seema’s father Basudev Nayak on Tuesday alleged that she had been killed for dowry at the Dhanupali police station.
Most importantly, the woman’s father-in-law brought Seema’s body to the district hospital without informing the police. There the doctor pronounced her dead. The in-laws were questioned by the police they said she had committed suicide by hanging herself with a fan. So Police arrived at the scene, although the veil was found, it did not hang on the fan, it fell to the ground. Scientific team arrived at the in-laws house and began investigating.
Suspicion of murder for bike
Although Yuvraj’s family did not demand such dowry, Seema’s father happily donated a bike. As the bike was small, Yuvraj repeatedly scolded Seema for expressing dissatisfaction with the bike. There was talk of changing the bike. Basudev also agreed. But yuvraj insisted on coming on his own and take the new bike. There was a argument between both. Seema also told her father. Basudev alleges that she was killed 20 days later of this incident.
