Claim letter to RDC for declaration of Special holiday

Sambalpur: The birthday of Guru Satyanarayan Bohidhar, who played a major role in propagating Sambalpuri language, literature and culture, is being celebrated as Sambalpuri Day on August 1. Coming August 1 on the holy birthday of Satyanarayana Bohidar, as a tribute to him, the Bargarh District Collector yesterday issued an order for all government employees to wear Sambalpuri clothes on the occasion of Sambalpuri Day. Today Sambalpur District Collector also issued the same directive and took an important and historic decision.

They have written letters to the district level officials of different departments of their respective districts and have advised the employees to wear Sambalpuri clothes. This news has played a wave of happiness in the minds of all Sambalpuri lovers and residents of the region. For this, on behalf of the Western Ekta Manch, thanked to the Bargarh Sambalpur District Collector. Such a decision will prove to be a milestone for the overall development of Sambalpuri language, literature, culture and tradition, and it will be a true tribute to Gurushri Satyanarayan Bohidar, said a press statement from the Western Ekta Manch.

The senior guide of the forum and the coordinator of Sambaluri Day Dr. Pramod Rath, host of the stage Bhavani Shankar Bhoi, chief coordinator Mans Ranjan Boxi, organization coordinator Subodh Kumar Dora Major thanked and expressed gratitude to both the district collectors. Likewise, on behalf of Sambalpuri Ekta Manch, the Sambalpur district president has been thanked for the above order. Yesterday on behalf of the Sambalpuri Ekta Manch, a demand letter was given to Sambalpur District Collector in this regard.

Accepting the said demand letter, the District Magistrate has ordered all the employees to wear Sambalpuri clothes today. This initiative of Sambalpuri Ekta Manch is welcomed and the Uttaranchal state unit has also been asked to declare a special holiday on Sambalpuri Day. Sameer Babu, Chandrasekhar Nayak, Surya Guru, Ramshankar Mishra, Mohit Nayak, Iksha Mishra, Hashim Raja, Rajeev Sahu, Trilochan Tripathi, Vinayak Ram, Milan Hota were prominently present during the presentation of the claim papers.
