Sambalpur: All freezers in Burla Vimsar’s autopsy department are out of order, problems arises with the storage of corpses, authorities do not care about repairs

Vimsar, the health center of Burla in western Odisha, patients from 10 districts of western Odisha, as well as neighboring states Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh are dependent. Ironically, due to negligence, Burla Vimsar FMT department’s freezers in the autopsy department are out of order. In Burla Vimsar, are now a major problem. Three of the anatomy department’s refrigerators were out of order, and two of them were repaired a few days ago. Another freezer has not yet been repaired. On the other hand, all the freezers in Vimsar’s FMT have been shut down. The repair is not taken seriously. The FMT department’s refrigerators at the Burla Vimsar morgue have been out of order for months. The freezer is out of order, making it difficult to keep unidentified bodies for at least 3 days. At the same time, if the body was left outside comes a foul odor. The bodies are being brought from various places. The Vimsar morgue has places to keep eight bodies at once. But for several months now, there have been allegations that no freezer has been installed to keep any bodies. However, questions have been raised as to why these freezers are not being repaired? Why are hospital authorities not paying attention to repairing these freezers?
