Sambalpur: All relationships forgot before money, Son attacked father for money

Sambalpur: The incident of a young man attacking his father and wife with an iron rod has become a topic of discussion in Sambalpur. The incident took place in Dhanupali police station area. After the complaint of the father, the accused son was arrested by the police.

According to information, at 5 am on Thursday, Vaishnav Jena of Mathapali was abused by his elder son Rajesh Jena and demanded 10 thousand rupees. Vaishnav said that he did not have that much money and asked to take 3000 rupees. Enraged at this, Rajesh attacked his head with an iron rod. As profuse blood from his head, Rajesh again attacked his body with the said rod. His hands, legs and back were severely injured. He threatened to kill him if he did not pay the money. Even before this, he had beaten him several times for money. When Rajesh’s wife protested, he also beat her. On Thursday, Vaishnav filed a written complaint at the Dhanupali police station and the police registered a case and started investigating the incident. The accused elder son Rajesh was arrested by the police on Friday.
