Sambalpur: Allegations of sex determination in private clinics, Ghost doctor doing ultrasound!

Sambalpur: Redhakhol Behera ultrasound clinic is running by ghost doctor. Although this may seems to be surprising, but it is true. Because the doctor who allowed the ultrasound to be done said this. He said, I allowed the ultrasound to be done there. but never went to the clinic left except the inauguration time.

I did not go to the clinic due to lack of time. But Ultrasound is being done by someone. Even so, they are doing some mischief. There are accusations of illegality like sex determination and abortion. So I have decided to cancel my permission letter very soon. Similarly, another licensed obstetrician and gynaecologist, Dr. Anand Chandra Panda, also said the same thing. I never had an ultrasound there even though I had permission in my name.

If 2 authorized doctors are not coming there, then who is doing the ultrasound? There is a rule that the doctor who gave the permission should be present and perform the ultrasound himself. It is illegal for anyone else to perform an ultrasound. So after 2 doctors refused, the issue of ghost doctor ultrasound is being discussed.

Redhakhol Behera Ultrasound Clinic has been accused of sex determination and illegal abortions. Now the question is, who is the person who is doing the ultrasound? As it is a serious crime, the responsibility lies with the district administration. But even though two complaints have been filed against the concerned clinic, action has been taken.
