Sambalpur: Various competitions organised for Sambalpuri Day

Sambalpur: The ‘Sambalpuri Day’ festival, which is gaining popularity day by day, is going to be held in the open once again after being closed for 2 years due to the Corona epidemic. On behalf of Western Ekta Manch, the birthday of Sambalpuri literature Guru Satyanarayana Bohidar is being celebrated as Sambalpuri Day since 2013, which is going on for 10 years. Every year in Sambalpur, the state-level Sambaluri Day is organized. Various organizations and institutions of Sambalpur have been requested to cooperate in the organization of Sambalpuri Day on behalf of Western Union Ekta Mancha.

In this series, various competitions were organized for Sambalwari Day by Tamanna Foundation on Sunday. It was announced by the general editor of the foundation, Akash Shetpathi, and the coordinator of Sambalpuri Day of Western Ekta Mancha Dr. Pramod assist the function. Others included Subodh Dora, Pankajini Meher, Kanti Meher, Lalit Mohan Bebarta, Bholshankar Mahatham, Hemant Gahir, Sarojini Bancchor, Revathi Raut, Bhagwan Sika were major.

Hundreds of contestants participated in the rangoli, drawing and mehendi competition held under the coordination of Tamanna Foundation founder Surendra Bagharta. Kuldeep Barma, Anjali Rao, Pandana Panda, Sujata Behera were involved as judges in various categories of the competition. Buddhadeb Bagarty, Jyotsnamayi Bishi, Sukant Mani, Rahul Gupta, Dekshisha Behera, Rajesh Swain, Balaram Hota, Amitabh Majhi, Jamadei Bagarty, Aloy Swain contributed significantly.
