Sambalpur: Another cyber scam victim in Sambalpur, Trapped by giving ad for house rent in OLX

Sambalpur: Another cyber fraud victim in Sambalpur town. A man from the Ainthapali area had applied for an ad to rent his housein OLX. Seeing this, he was summoned by a cyber fraudster who identified himself as an Army officer. Asked for the rent house.

Hoping to be an Army officer, he decided to rent the house. The house rent of Rs 12,500 was also fixed. The fraudster then asked him to send Rs. 1 in Phone Pay. He also sent money to the fraudster. The fraudster then began to withdraw money from his account. On Wednesday and Thursday, the cyber fraudster withdrew Rs 97,000 from his account through multiple transactions. Ainthapali police have launched an investigation into the incident after it was learned that the victim was a fraud.
