Sambalpur: Armed Police Have Sealed Sambalpur Entrances with Checkpoints; Find Out Why
Sambalpur: With the elections approaching, the Election Commission has ordered stringent checks to ensure peaceful proceedings. The entrances of Sambalpur city have been blocked by armed forces, accompanied by police officers. Entrances to the city such as Ainthapali, Chaurpur, Laxmidunguri (Durgapali), Ainthapali Tali Street, Maneswar, Dhanupali, and Dhankauda have been completely sealed and blocked. Sambalpur Police has intensified security measures to curb theft, smuggling, extortion, and robbery. To this end, regular flag marches are being conducted.
As general elections approach, the Sambalpur police have implemented strict security arrangements. All entrances to townships across the district have been blocked, with 2 platoons of SRPF guarding Sambalpur city. Immediate response is ensured if any offensive situation arises within the city. Vehicles, including cars and bicycles, are being subjected to inspection. The public has welcomed such security measures at the entrances and demands their continuation beyond the elections, given the rising crime rate in Sambalpur city.

In case of suspicion, the officials immediately investigated the scene with the help of other police forces deployed along with the SRPF. Local police officers are tasked with checking with them and assisting in crime control.
