Sambalpur: Arpan Ratha Procession at SMC; Devotees offering rice and gua (ଗୁଆ )
Sambalpur: On January 17th, the inauguration of the Srimandir Parikrama project. It will be launched. Therefore, the entire state is in a state of celebration. Arpan Ratha has been started from the old office premises of the Metropolitan Corporation. BJD MLA and Redhakhol district president Rohit Pujari inaugurated the event as chief guest. SMC Commissioner Ved Bhushan, Deputy Commissioner Sankar Sahu and other officials were present. Many women were present and performed puja. SMC information has been set up to receive the procession chariots of the temple and conduct the circumambulation with peace and order. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s dream project of Shree Mandir Parikrama can involve Jagannath devotees from all walks of life. All arrangements are being made for this. Arpan Ratha set out to collect Arua Chaula and Gua from every ward. The committee went to a meeting to find out how the chariots would travel peacefully. Today, Wards 1, 2, 8, 20, 38, 26, a total of 6 Wards went to Parikrama Rath. Thousands of devotees in every ward received great welcome. Devotees offered Arua Chaula and Gua to Mahaprabhu Sri Jagannath from each family farm in the village. A devotional atmosphere was maintained. BJD State Treasurer Sushant Panigarahi, Satish Bishi, Sumant Panda Dekshis Nand, Sipriya Mohanty, Savita Panda, Bhaskar Das Surendra Visha Naresh Sharma, Gaurang Pandey Gopal Mishra were present in Hirakud.
