Sambalpur: Ativa, a girl from Sambalpur get success in the “Pariksha Pe Charcha”
Sambalpur: The “Pariksha Pe Charcha Exhibition” organized by the Government of India and other programs were held on January 29 at the Bharat Mandap at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The program was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Education and Research Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and other dignitaries. As the only project in Odisha in the said program Kendriya Vidyalaya-2 Burla (Sambalpur) 8th standard student Ativa Kumari Panigrahi, younger daughter of Hindalco Hirakud employee Devdat Panigrahi and Savitarani Panigrahi presented the project. The project “Saving Life in Sinking Boats” has attracted the special attention of the Prime Minister.
However, 32 passengers lost their lives in the much-discussed Hirakud boat sinking accident on February 9, 2014. The security project has been designed keeping in mind how such incidents can be prevented in the future. Ativa’s project has brought glory to the state including Sambalpur district. Central schools and teachers have also provided full support for this project.
