Sambalpur: Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in Mahanadi
Sambalpur: The country has entered the 75th year of independence. The ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ is being organized by the Government of India to commemorate and celebrate the rich history of progressive India and its people, culture and accessibility for the last 75 years. A triangle is attached to the house. A triangular procession is going on. On this occasion, ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ was seen being celebrated in Sambalpur’s unique style.
Some youths of Dalaipada, Sambalpur have shown bravery and swam in the full depth Mahanadi river, flying the triangle. When the 34 gates of Hirakud were opened, the river became full. On this occasion, at 11:30 on Sunday, these young people started swimming from Samlei Temple Ghat holding a triangle. While swimming, they waved the tricolor and chanted ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. People standing on the riverside ring road and little children clapped and chanted slogans. Young people carrying tricolor flags came from Samlei Ghat to Chaurpur Bridge. The youths said, we swims in the mahanadi river every year after opening of the gate. However, now that the whole country is celebrating ‘Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, they also chose this way to celebrate in a unique way and they all swam with national flags in tubes. Which was greeted with applause by the people on the ring road.
