Sambalpur: If High Security Number Plate (HSRP) has not been installed yet, please apply as soon as possible. Otherwise you will be fined 5 thousand rupees. Because HSRP inspection has already started strictly in Sambalpur district. Sambalpur RTO Ramdas Tudu has informed that 131 vehicle owners have been fined in the district for not having HSRP plates till the 17th Feb.
It should be noted that the deadline for attaching HSRP of old vehicles with registration number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 ended on 2022 December 31. Similarly, the deadline for vehicles 7 and 8 has ended on January 31, 2023 while for lanes 9 and 0, the last date for attaching HSRP is February 28, 2023. It was said that action will be taken against the drivers who violated the motor vehicle rules from January. In this series, strict checking has been started on HSRP number plates in Sambalpur as well.
According to the information of RTO Ramdas Tudu, a total of 131 vehicles challan have been cut in the district till February 17th. He said that the vehicle owners who did not apply and did not install HSRP number plates were fined Rs 5,000 each. Mr. Tudu said that a maximum of 78 2-wheelers were stopped in the district while 19 3-wheelers, 4 cars, 8 trucks and 21 large vehicles were stopped. He said that the inspection will be made more strict from March 1 when the deadline for all vehicles will expire after February. So if you have applied for HSRP, you can avoid the penalty.
