Sambalpur: Beautification of Samleshwari, Opposing the gap in compensation, Displaced protest in the capital bbsr
We welcome the beautification of Goddess Ma Samaleswari. But the gap in the compensation package to the displaced is unacceptable. Displaced people came to the capital and asked whether they are being treated unfairly for the beautification of Sambalpur Samaleswari temple.
In this regard, the chief minister issued the claim letter to the complaint chamber. It said the process of eviction for the beautification of Samleswari temple has started from the slum-affected area. Out of 220 families to be relocated here, a total of 120 people have been evicted. They have been given a compensation package of 640 square feet of land, house valuation money, 6 thousand as transportation, 6 months house rent of 2500 rupees, and 3 lakh rupees for house construction.
On the other hand, the displaced people in this project are being resettled with 1200 square feet of land, 1 lakh rupees in terms of transport, 12 thousand rupees as house rent, 20 lakh per person compensation, and 500 meters away from their current residence. They asked why there was such a difference. He also said that out of the 150 displaced families who were evicted, 100 started building houses. But most of them have run out of compensation due to roof collapse. What will happen to them now?
They wonder where they will go if their compensation is increased. He promised to provide roads, water, electricity, sewerage, Kalyan mandap, clubhouse, community hall, kindergarten, temple, monastery, Anganwadi center, school, health services, etc. in his rehabilitation colony. But even after 6 months, there was no improvement. Demanded to look into this.
