Sambalpur: BJD Leader Prasanna Acharya Discharged From the Hospital After Road Accident
Sambalpur: Senior BJD leader and former minister Prasanna Acharya, who was undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital in Bhubaneswar after sustaining serious injuries in a road accident, was discharged from the hospital today. Mr. Acharya, who is also a senior BJD leader, was injured in a major accident on the night of March 14, while returning from a high-level meeting of the BJD held in Bhubaneswar to Bargarh.
At around 12 o’clock at night, while passing near Redhakhol Luhapank, a gas tanker coming from the opposite direction collided head-on with the car in which Mr. Acharya and his PSO were traveling, resulting in serious injuries to both. Due to the severity of the injuries, both were transferred to a hospital in Sambalpur from a nearby hospital.
Mr. Acharya, who was critically injured in the accident, was airlifted from there to a hospital in Bhubaneswar. After 17 days of treatment at the hospital, he has fully recovered and is returning home today.
It is noteworthy that Mr. Acharya had been engaged in a political rivalry with members of the Redhakhol Assembly constituency. In the Redhakhol Assembly constituency, they are maintaining public relations by participating in various social and political programs.
Mr. Acharya, who is now healthy after being discharged from the hospital today, has expressed his happiness among his supporters and BJD workers in various places in the electoral board of Redhakhol. Doctors’ recovery and health have been prayed for, and all party workers, well-wishers, and supporters have been thanked by Mr. Acharya.
