Sambalpur: Odisha State Blood Bank Employees Union has warned that they will go on a complete strike from next 14th if their job demands are not met. In the ultimatum given to the government on behalf of the union president Malay Kumar Behera, it is mentioned that if they are not provided with permanent employment, equal pay for equal work, social security, pension, and all other related government benefits, they will be forced to go on a complete strike from Oct 14. During this time they will cancel all indoor or outdoor camps, will not collect indoor blood, or perform any office work such as providing data and reports. So he requested to accept all their demands before this. Despite repeated requests to the government, they did not accept it, so they wore black badges on August 12 and started a protest on August 26. Last September 12, he met the authorities and presented the demand. From 22nd September, both the outdoor and indoor camps were cancelled and continued with other activities. Despite this, Mr. Behera informed in the letter that he was forced to take such agitational steps because the government did not listen to their demands.
