Sambalpur: Be careful while driving under the influence of alcohol, Detained in the police station, Vehicle will be seized

Sambalpur: Sambalpur police are trying to nab the alcoholic. As the zero casualty week continues, strict checks are being carried out by the transport department at various places. On the other hand, the police have conducted a vigorous investigation to catch drunk drivers in various police station areas of Sambalpur. Those who are caught driving under the influence of alcohol will not only be fined but also detained and impounded.

Between 1st and 5th of this month, Sambalpur police arrested only 25 drunkards and seized their vehicles. Khetrajpur police station arrested a maximum of 5 drunkards while Hirakud 4, Bareipali and Kuchinda police stations 3 each, Dhama 2 and Ainthapali, Charmal, Redhakhol, Rengali, Sadar, Sasan, Thelkoloi and Tarbaga police station have arrested one drunk driver and impounded the vehicle. If we include the special drives that are being winged by the transport department, this number will go up to 50.
