Sambalpur: Car driver was not wearing helmet, challan was cut

Sambalpur: You have to wear a helmet even while driving, says the Traffic Police Department. The Department of Transportation has cut challan of Rs. 1,000 bill because a man was not wearing a helmet while driving. The car owner was initially shocked when the message came. People have been critical of the traffic department since the incident. The Sambalpur Traffic Police had cut off the registration number OA336152205041891723 in the name of OD 02 AV40 vehicle. The challan was cut off at 6:18 p.m. The fine was upheld for driving without a helmet. Car owner Sumit Mohanty, however, expressed dissatisfaction with the move and said the traffic department was addressing it.
