Sambalpur: Car was stolen while buying drinks, main suspect was arrested by police
Sambalpur / Burla: Madan Kumar Rana(33) of Burla Medical Campus, left his car at Netaji Chowk in Burla and went to buy cold-drinks at 6.30 pm on Monday. At that moment, Vicky and his friend stole Madan’s car (Odyssey 15S8662) from there. The car was not there when he returned. Madan then lodged a written complaint with the Burla police station, after which his police filed a case and launched an investigation.
Burla police raided various places and arrested Govind Raut alias Vicky, 26, of Hulursinghat, Anugul district town police station, from Subarnapur Binika. Police found stolen car, one mobile phone, Rs 25,000 cash and Madan’s mobile phone were seized. Anugul district police have registered 15 property crime cases in Anugul and 2 cases in Sambalpur.
