Sambalpur: Sambalpur district is renowned for its art, culture and tradition. But many unfounded scandals are affecting this reputation. In the last few days, the news of the pregnancy of 4 minors in the district has come to the fore, and 3 of them have already given birth to children. A 13-year-old minor girl of Jamankira police station area has given birth to a baby boy. After CWC knowing this, the mother has been shifted to the balniketan along with her child. The young man who got her pregnant is gone missing. Earlier, a 15-year-old girl from Bareipali thana did not turn up for the matric examination, so the school authorities reached her home to find out the reason. Then it turned out that the student was pregnant.
Last week, the minor was admitted to the Sambalpur district hospital and gave birth to the baby. As the condition of the baby did not improve, he was shifted to Cuttack Children’s Center. The minor, however, returned home from the Burla Hospital on Monday. The accused was arrested by the police after a written complaint was filed in Bareipali police station.
Another similar case was registered in Kisinda police station last week. After giving birth to a son, the police arrested Dinbandhu Dehuri, an old man from Ranjagir, and took him to court.
