Sambalpur city is a hub for criminals, 6 lakhs looted at gunpoint in broad daylight
Sambalpur: Sambalpur city has become a stronghold of criminals. From cyber fraud to theft, dacoity, robbery has become routine in Sambalpur city. On Thursday, in the afternoon, 2 robbers showed a gun and took more than 6 lakh rupees from a person.
According to police information, Sunaullah of Badabazar works in a courier service. According to reports on Thursday, Sunaullah was robbed on his way back after making the deliveries and money collection. The robbery took place between RMC and IPS school at 2 pm on Thursday. The miscreants took 6 lakh 20 thousand rupees belonging to Sunaullah. After Sunaullh filed a written complaint at Ainthapali police station, the police registered a case and started investigating the incident. While the special team is raiding different places, it is also rumored that the looters are from outside the district.
While the recent incident of looting of 11 lakh rupees from the town area is not forgotten, the discussion about the looting of another big same incident in the city is going on. It is said that the crime is increasing instead of any improvement in the district even after various institutions have issued demand letters to Sambalpur SP regarding the dire law and order situation in the city. The police have not been successful till date in the incident of looting money from the owner of a marble shop in Ainthapali police station area. The police have somehow forgotten about the crooks who stole more than 20 lakh rupees from the ATM. The failure of the police to nab the accused in several cases, such as the robbery of around Rs 50,000 from a petrol pump in Khetrajpur police station area, has raised serious questions about the law and order situation. Although the town police arrested the mother of the main accused in the 11 lakh robbery case and managed to seize 9 lakh rupees, but they failed to catch the accused.
